MNL-S1 (Monday Night League Season 1) had started last Monday Aug 6, 2018. It was a good start to see a two games and Four teams compete, bouts, and challenges its different level of game.
Having new faces and newly joined players for CityHoops MNL-S1 was a phenomenal and heartwarming for the league; Not just that, we’re thankful as well for supporting our Newly expanding programs.
We are truly happy and excited to see new players off all different ages that loved and enjoyed they’re experienced during our first hit of (MNL-S1) expect thrilling, exciting games and many more to come.
Let’s do a summarizes out our first ever Monday Night League Season 1 games.
California (67) vs Florida (61) These two teams were about to explode on Opening Day; 1st game of the season was already a matched.
California topples Florida in a Overtime game! California First picked draftee Mr. Jun Mabanta aka "I got this" impresses and was an evident of a true scorer for Team California who came up big with a double double career in he’s first game in CityHoops. (Double Double? Can he do it twice) bets begin.
Yes! He doubled doubled in all areas of Stats department and a decent stats on a defensive end (27pts, 12reb, 1ast, 4stl, 2-3pts)! Yes he played defense! A rare situation that we usually see. Well what can we say? Welcome! (Mr. Jun Mabanta aka “I got this.”) to Cityhoops.
For Florida they just ran out short with they’re offense at the end; when they couldn’t quibble to score a KO shot.
One player to watch right now with a stellar performance for Florida is Kit Aragon aka: “D Kit Cat” who basically surprised us with he’s ability to play, also an all around player from all sort of defense from rebounding, hustling and hungry to win player. This guy needs to be under the radar for NY and Washington teams! And shouldn’t be taken lightly his game.
Florida points additional contributor too was the ageless Alfon Dela Cruz aka: “Mr. Air Leaper” who mostly amazed everyone in the crowd of he’s game. If your curious about him come and watch him play in Cityhoops (MNL-S1).
New York (60) vs Washington (65)
Washington unbelievable comeback win over heavy New York! It was a great upset game by the Washington over scratched and clawed New York who dominated the game and took a big double digit marked!
Notable for Washington is Point Guard Roy Mabutas who went well and rise to the occasion when needed in dying minutes.
Plus the addition of their Main Guy 3rd overall pick and CityHoops Sunday Night League (Eastern & Western Conference) All Star MVP Ricardo De Leon who was the communicator for Washington’s victory.
First time Coach Melo aka 'Lasal" of Washington for CityHoops was prolly clueless on how to stop the heavy offensive lethal of New York who just happens to be TJ Bituin and Edgar Espanola, Two renowned players of CityHoops Sunday Night League that are considered Elite individuals are teaming together under the directives of Commissioner and Coach Dex! Who is known as a “Prime Rib Coach of CityHoops.”
Yes! Coach Melo team made upsets, and took some important 3s at last run to beat the heavy New York team.
“Commissioner/Coach Dex mentioned that New York was patient and was just enjoying their 1st game, will bounce back and play more better the next time they will face them.”
MNL-S1 is a great league to start; having players in the likes of Jun Mabanta (Season All-time scorer), TJ Bituin ( CityHoops Finest Player), Edgar Espanola (OG of 3s), Ricardo De Leon (CityHoops Elite Rebounder & MVP) and some rising stars William Presa, Kit Aragon (Kit Cat) and Roy Mabutas (D’Quick Draw), Alfon Dela Cruz (Ageless Air Leaper), and lastly the well Known Carmelo Rabuy (“The Real OG Mamba”) that will be helping and supporting New line of players who wanted to improved, develop, and increase a step by step stage of playing basketball and making this an avenue for them to grow and learn basketball values.
MNL-S1 is now open! And we are excited and happy for all the players who joined our Family and participate with Cityhoops League!
We Expect that you will all follow our rules and guideline, and be a role model for fellow players and show pure sportsmanship, respect and competitiveness in all our schedules games.
