SEASON 7 - WEEK 10 HIGHLIGHTS
“BATTLE OF SEEDINGS”
Fremont vs Hayward
This game was not done until the end of regulation. Hayward overpowered Fremont with them in defying game. Hayward dethroned Fremont in a heavy game last Sunday. Coach Rhoneil And he’s Team had already won the last of their 2 games against top teams (San Jose and Fremont) Hayward performances is diffidently showing eagerness to win and capture all reward they could get.
For Fremont, this was a blow out loss, but Fremont can manage to win back and regroup as per Coach Perchy claims; we will go back and pursue what's ours. We expect these two teams to be a dangerous contender at their divisions and most teams would like to eliminate them or skip if given a chance.
San Jose vs San Francisco
A Winning San Jose team rise again to the level of expectations. San Jose dominated well and made sure San Francisco will be just behind them as per standing. TJ and Neil an efficient offensive duo for San Jose is by far a great combination for any teams in City hoops.
While for San Francisco; They're Leading Scorer ”Jer” was shut down to only 4 points. A rare low scoring for him this season 7 as San Jose made him taste a good defensive play.
San Jose holds the 1 seed at this week 10 and San Francisco and San Jose will have its final regular game next week to determine who will be the top of the West Division. Both teams are in close standing and the only way to know is this coming week 11 of final regular season.
Tracy vs Vallejo
This game was a toe to toe matched at the rebounding block and post lane. But Vallejo totally shocked Tracy without Martin of Vallejo who was missing the game. Vallejo was not sure how to match the Heavy guys of Tracy but they were able to pull a win. At later part when Coach Mario was able to complete the two free throw line that secured them a lead.
For Tracy, it was a clean finish of their regular season as they will be playing in a wild-card game for West Conference against San Ramon.
We all know Tracy will be more demanding on this game to regain and keep them alive for this season! As they will need to do restructure for improvement. Coach Rodel would definitely consider this move for next season as he would get back as a contender.
Union City vs Daly City
Daly City assured a big win! Daly City dominated the game over underman Union City. It was a close game at first half and Union City was able to play tight plus with Alex Zambo unstoppable rebounds for Union City it was a pretty tight game against young furious Daly City. At the end Union City ran out of gas and tires and couldn’t match Daly City explosiveness of young core players.
Union City will need to make a big game win at wild card against Oakland to get back at top 4 playoffs spot.
We are on our last leg of regular season games this coming Sunday week 11! And pretty much we are 70-80% clear about the seeding and playoff position wise. We expect to get some upset still and very good quality games.
This is Cityhoops season 7! And we are getting close to playoffs season. Thank you for all the Players, Family and Friends who keep watching and supporting our family-oriented league. We hope to see you more and more as we reach to playoffs and Finals.
